The Environmental Politics and Policy Summer School at Sciences Po Lille will give 20 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working in the field of environmental politics a unique opportunity to exchange teaching and research ideas with colleagues from other universities and research institutes.
2016 will be the seventh occasion that the ECPR's Environmental Politics Standing Group is running a Summer School. The previous Summer Schools were at Keele in 2001, Lulea in 2002, and Keele in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013.
Ten taught sessions over two weeks will be led by international experts. There will also be student papers, social events, and opportunities to explore Lille and the surrounding region.
Teaching will be organized across five themes:
- Green political theory
- International relations of the environment
- Contemporary environmental politics
- Green movements and parties
- Public policy and the environment
The aims of the Environmental Politics and Policy Summer School are:
